Marble Brewery, Albuquerque, NM

Quality, craft beers in a variety of styles are the specialty of the house. You might even find green beer at their St. Patrick’s Day festival. Live music, featuring four popular local bands, kicks off the celebration. Lift a pint of Paddy McNitro Irish Stout in honor of the wearing o’ the green.

Three Rivers Brewery, Farmington, NM

The Tap Room will be the site of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Mug Club party. What’s a mug club? It’s a loyal group of regulars, all of whom have their own beer mug. Local post-rock band, Cinematica, will play, keeping the party going all evening long. Lots of games to play including pool, darts, foosball, shuffleboard, plus there’s a big arcade full of video games. Twelve handcrafted brews on tap, as well as seasonal choices. Giveaways for those who participate.

Loyal Hound, Santa Fe, NM

This pub is known for its comfort food, even on St. Patty’s Day. Their March Supper Club is an Irish Pub Dinner. It’s three courses, paired with beer and dessert. Start with a Harp Lager and Irish Rarebit, followed by a salad with Irish Gubbeen Cheese served with a Canteen Irish Red Ale. The main course is Corned Beef and Cabbage Pie and a Breckenridge Irish Stout. Finish off the meal with a chocolate stout ice cream sandwich. Community-style seating. Reservations required.

Hidden Tap, Ruidoso, NM

If you’re feeling the luck of the Irish, this midtown hideaway is like discovering the pot-of-gold at the end of a rainbow. With more than 30 craft beers on tap, you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with enthusiasm. Irish nachos, made with potato slices instead of chips, are a perfect match with a glass of Irish beer, Irish coffee, a shamrock sour or an Irish car bomb cup, a mix of Guinness and Irish whiskey. Sheppard’s Pie a specialty of the house.

Kelley’s Bar & Grill, Clovis, NM

Did you know, the odds of finding a four-leaf clover are one in 10,000? It’s unlikely you’ll find one at this bar, but what you will find is great food, a fully stocked bar and a lively atmosphere. There’s always a party, here, and on St. Pat’s Day it’s all about celebrating the Emerald Isle. Shoot some pool. Dance a jig. Sip an Irish coffee. Fill your growler with beer and have a bowl of Irish stew.

Adobe Bar at Taos Inn, Taos, NM

On this day, the Bar transforms from a southwest adobe into an Irish pub with the music of O’Duffy’s Lament, an Irish/American music group. The sounds of bagpipes, whistles, a mandolin and a double kick bohdran will rock the house. Irish whiskeys on hand include Greenore, Knappogue Castle, Tyrconnell, 2 Gingers, Jameson and Redbreast.

Irish-American Society, Albuquerque, NM

This Society was formed to further Irish-American relations through education, travel, camaraderie, recreation, charity, music and dance. All of that is accomplished at their annual St. Patrick’s Day party. Plus, there’s food—traditional corned beef, cabbage and potato stew and Irish soda bread. Hot dogs and chips for the kids. Entertainment for the evening includes the Celtic bands, Irish Step Dancers, the New Mexico Fire and Police Pipes and Drums, and more. Tickets available online.

La Fiesta Lounge at the La Fonda Hotel, Santa Fe, NM

Come have a pint with Harvey, but don’t expect too much interaction out of this four-foot bunny statue that oversees the bar fun. The bar turns a beautiful shade of green on March 17. There will be hot Irish drinks, Guinness on tap and Black and Tan beer cocktails to drink. The menu has the standard corned beef and cabbage, plus fish and chips. Traditional Irish music will be featured on stage throughout the evening, the perfect accompaniment to an Irish jig.

Sacred Ground Coffee & Teahouse, Ruidoso, NM

The life of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated on March 17, the alleged date of his death. What an occasion to celebrate and what better way to honor this revered man than with a Gospel Brunch. Guests can tap their toes and clap their hands to good ol’ Gospel music performed by local band Jamie and AKA. An all-you-can-eat buffet is included in the cost of this event. Tickets available on line.

Pecos Flavors Winery, Roswell, NM

The owners of this small bistro, who operate two small vineyards in the county, only serve New Mexico beer and wine. Except on St. Patrick’s Day when they host an all-day party complete with an abundance of food and drink specials. Corned beef and cabbage tops the list of Irish fare. Stouts and blondes are $3.
