Race 4 the Children
Thank you for considering participating in the 7th Annual Race 4 the Children benefiting the Child Advocacy Center of Union County. The 5-kilometer, USATF-sanctioned route, is a mostly flat course running through beautiful Warinanco Park and extends through cordoned-off streets in Elizabeth to reach the Child Advocacy Center before heading back into the park toward the finish line. The 205-acre Warinanco Park, which opened in the 1920s, was designed by the Olmsted Firm, the same company that designed Central Park in New York City. Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903), his sons, and successor firm have created designs for more than 6,000 landscapes across North America over the last two centuries, including many of the world’s most important parks.
