The building that houses the store was the Old North Vernon Methodist Church, which was built in 1863. Harry Vance, the owner, has worked on this farm since he was 14. He eventually purchased the farm, owning and operating it ever since. In addition to the deli part of the store, Harry's daughter, Michelle, sells Tupperware on, along with doing all of the sales and marketing. Her sister, Diana, is the baker and manager of the store and sells Real TIme Pain Relief . They run the store with their Mom, Barbara. The store opens every morning at 6 a.m., and the locals are there shortly after. Later on in the morning, like clockwork, guys come in and hang around the table and have their coffee and tell stories. Once you become a regular everybody knows your name, and you get treated like you are at home.
Most of our customers are in everyday like clockwork and you know if there late and what there having its great. It's like the old times Glenwood style.
