Glassboro's Memorial Day Parade
A tradition since the early 1900’s, the Glassboro Memorial Day parade is patriotic event that honors those who have fallen in battle. The parade includes award-winning string bands, the ever popular children’s bicycle brigade, and various military veteran groups. The parade features military, string and marching bands, including the award- winning Glassboro High School band. A solemn ceremony honoring Glassboro’s Fallen Heroes takes place at the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza in the town square following the parade. Please join us! Complementary parking during all events is available in lots and the garages.
Children’s Bicycle Brigade
The Memorial Day Parade includes the popular Bicycle Brigade for children ages 5-12. Children are invited to decorate their bikes, trikes, scooters, strollers, and wagons and ride with the Glassboro Police’s Bike Patrol! All children must they must be accompanied by an adult and wear a helmet. The Brigade will assemble at the corner of Harvard & Villanova Road at 9:30am.
Parade Route
At 10am, the parade begins at University Boulevard and Lehigh Road, onto Whitney Avenue, onto High Street, ending at the Academy and Main.
