Morris County Historical Society
68 Lafayette Avenue
Bring your lawn chair, blanket, and picnic lunch and enjoy an afternoon to remember this Father's Day. Join MCHS in Acorn Hall's gardens where internationally renowned bagpiper & native Scot Cameron Macdougall will be performing and taking questions from the audience. Cameron, who hails from the Highlands of Scotland, studied under some of the country's most eminent pipers from the age of 9, graduating with a music degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In addition to his extensive personal awards and accomplishments, Cameron is also the great-nephew of Major John Allan, MBE, who formerly served with the Queen's Own Highlanders and was Director of Army Bagpipe Music based at Edinburgh Castle.
Offered in conjunction with MCHS's current exhibit, Designed by Dempsey: The Creations of a Morristown Irish Dressmaker, the afternoon will further highlight Morristown's deep and rich Irish heritage.
