Pelican Point State Recreation Area

Pelican Point State Recreation Area is a small, scenic area made up of 36 acres adjacent to the Missouri River. It offers fishing, river access, picnicking and camping.

Attractions

Fishing
Pelican Point State Recreation Area offers angler access to the Missouri River. Buffalo, common carp, channel catfish, flathead catfish, freshwater drum, sauger and walleye all may be found in this stretch of the Missouri.

Boating
Pelican Point provides river access to the Missouri River. One dock and one ramp are available. Those interested in boating or fishing on the river are encouraged to view the interactive Missouri River Outdoor Recreation Access Guide, which shows public access sites for fishing, hunting, boating, camping and more. It also serves as a navigation guide.

Picnicking
Pelican Point has nine picnic tables, nine grills and one shelter.

Camping

Primitive camping
All camping at Pelican Point is primitive. The area has six camping pads without electricity. Vault restrooms are available onsite. There is no potable water at Pelican Point SRA.
