This Prairie Public Broadcasting film unravels a compelling chapter in the struggle of farmers. In the early 1900s, North Dakota farmers were determined to control their own economic futures. Under the leadership of Nonpartisan League founder A.C. Townley, farmers involved in this small protest movement took control of both houses of the state legislature within two years.
This screening is the first in a three-part series. The second and final parts will be shown in October and November. Learn more about the Nonpartisan League in the North Dakota Studies topics at bit.ly/SHSND-NPL.
