The Chateau de Mores Interpretive Center in Medora is exhibiting traditional folk art and stories associated with North Dakota Council on the Art's book, "Sundogs and Sunflowers: Folklore and Folk Art of the Northern Great Plains", through July 13, 2025. The groundbreaking compilation, 30 years in the making, features more than 1,000 examples of folklore and folk art, as well as more than 300 images. Most of the examples come from North Dakota, but traditions from the prairies of South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, northeastern Wyoming, and three Canadian provinces are represented.
