The Fourth of July is a special time of year nationwide, and North Dakota is no different. There are plenty of ways to celebrate, from fireworks displays and parades to live music and delicious food. Here are some great events to help you have the perfect Fourth of July in the Roughrider State!
Mandan Rodeo Days Celebration, Mandan, ND
This incredible celebration has existed for over a century. The four-day party includes music and dancing, baseball, parade, craft and trade show, street dance, fireworks display, and the PRCA rodeo.

Sertoma Club 4th of July Festival & Fireworks, Grand Forks, ND
Much more than a firework display, the Sertoma Festival is one big party. The festivities include a kiddie parade, live music, kids’ games, a variety of demonstrations and performances, watermelon feed, raffles and giveaways, and of course, fireworks.

The people at Bonanzaville know how to party, and that knowledge is on full display for the Fourth. Activities include carnival games with fun prizes, train rides, kids’ games and crafts, parade and more.

Bismarck Mandan Symphony Orchestra Concert and Fireworks Event, Bismarck, ND
Located on the grounds of the North Dakota State Capitol, the event includes a performance by the symphony orchestra and a firework show after the concert. The display is widely considered the best in the entire state.

Packed into over a weeks-worth of activities, you’ll be dying to come and experience all this fair has to offer. Saturday is Family Fun Day where you’ll see most of the events take place. Get ready for a parade, carnival, rodeo performance, 10K, 5K and Youth Marathons, and Southwest Speedway Race. On July 4, there will be the much-anticipated fireworks.
