Sunset Festival

Join us for the FREE Sunset Festival at Jockey’s Ridge Crossing! Enjoy some great activities and fun while you shop at some of the best stores on the beach. The Outer Banks has one of the best places to view the evening Sunset on Jockey’s Ridge Sand Dunes.

Stop by the Kitty Hawk Kites store to pick up a kite to fly while watching the sunset. Life on a Sandbar has a little bit of everything, including sand art projects, cool hair wraps/braids, and beautiful jewelry. Try some of the best homemade ice cream on the Outer Banks at Jockey’s Ridge Creamery and some amazing fudge at the Fudgery. Make memories that will last forever at OBX Old Time Photos. Abbi’s Teas and Things/Sudden Light Records has a sip and a song to nestle in the nostalgia. Silver Line Jewelry, Art & Unique Finds has multiple jewelry lines made from up-cycled and recycled materials, that also support local businesses.  Make sure to stop by the Kitty Hawk Surf Co. for Hobie Kayaks and browse great new items from Salty Crew, Rip Curl, Vans, Hurley, and more.

The Sunset Festival takes place Monday through Friday nights starting at 7pm till sunset, from June 10th – August 9th. Each week, you can enjoy:

Magic Mondays:
Chris Kram (The Impossible Chris) will be performing INTERACTIVE magic for all to enjoy from 7-sunset. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Kram brings visual entertainment to life through his alluring tricks and captivating props. His performance is sure to leave you in wonder. Magic will be held in the courtyard in front of Kitty Hawk Kites in Nags Head.  Finish the night off watching the beautiful sunset while enjoying a delicious treat from Jockey’s Ridge Creamery or The Fudgery!

Tournament Tuesday:
What a great idea to start your week but to pick up a family game like Spikeball and Bulzi Bucket and try them out at Kitty Hawk Kites with your friends and family. While you are there, you can shop from a variety of stores and Jockey’s Ridge Crossing to buy some awesome souvenirs and gifts! Events take place from 7-sunset.

‘What’s Spinning?’ Wednesday:
Come by and listen to the on site DJ playing an array of music for all ages! Make sure to stop by Abbi’s Teas and things/Sudden Light Records for highlighted records.   

Ukulele Thursday:
Learn how to play Ukulele, grab your own and strum along every Thursday night from 7-sunset.

Family Fun Friday:
What a great idea to end your week but to fly some kites and enjoy some bubbles at Kitty Hawk Kites with your friends and family. While you are there, you can shop from a variety of stores and Jockey’s Ridge Crossing to buy some awesome souvenirs and gifts! Events take place from 7-sunset.
