Native Plants To Know And Love
Monday, December 09, 2024 from 06:30pm to 08:30pm
JC Raulston Arboretum
4415 Beryl Road
Bryce Lane, Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor Emeritus and Lecturer Emeritus, Department of Horticultural Science, NC State University
It's easy to take native plants for granted when they're all over the place and can easily be seen any time we wander out in the woods. But their value as garden-worthy specimens, providing ecological services to our native ecosystem while also contributing to the drama and visual impact of our home landscapes, should not be overlooked. This 3-week class will take an in-depth look at the most beautiful and beneficial native trees, shrubs, vines, ground covers, and herbaceous perennials to embellish and enhance the diversity in your garden.
This class is available In-person and Online, with recordings of the lectures being posted each week. Need to miss class one week? No worries, you can join us live via Zoom for any of the class sessions. Can't do Monday nights? Still not worried; recordings of the lectures as well as supplemental class materials are made available to all participants weekly, and Bryce is just an email away for any questions you might have!
