Lanti Performing Arts presentsFootloose the Musical on June 8th at the beautiful Sun Valley High School 5211 Old Charlotte Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110.
Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenage boy from Chicago. He and his mother move to the small town of Bomont after his father abandons them. Upon arriving, Ren finds himself at odds with most of the town, including the Reverend Moore. The Reverend has convinced the town to outlaw dancing, which Ren finds unbelievable. With the help of Ariel (the Reverend’s daughter) and Willard (a country hick who becomes his best friend), Ren convinces the Reverend to let the teenagers dance, and in the process helps the town to heal from a tragedy that affected them all.
Audiences of all ages will adore this adaptation of Broadway and cinematic hit,Footloose The Musical, from the creative minds of Tom Snow, Dean Pitchford, Kenny Loggins, and Walter Robbie.
Recognized for its exceptional entertainment, Lanti Performing Arts has selected sixty-six young talents, aged 13 to 18, from across Union and Mecklenburg Counties.The immersive production includes the expertise of technical director, Joey Nicholson, a creative team of artists, and is led by power duo and co-directors, Lindsey Bennett and Sarah Lantigua.

ABOUT LANTI PERFORMING ARTS
Established in 2013, Lanti Performing Arts is one of the leading performing arts schools in the heart of Union County located in Indian Trail, NC. They offer a variety of music lessons, acting classes, musical theatre productions, mommy & me music, special workshops, and summer camps. As a student of Lanti, children receive much more than just music and acting skills. They will also have opportunities to participate in special events, recitals, local gigs, student apprenticeships, and community service through the Lanti Foundation (501c3).
Lanti Performing Arts is the most awarded studio in Union County after receiving awards for Best Music Lessons, Best Community Theatre, Best Birthday Parties, and Best Summer Camps through the Best of the Weeklies CMG and the Gold Daisy Awards from Macaroni KID, Union. Sarah Lantigua, co-owner of Lanti, was also awarded “Citizen of the Quarter” by the town of Indian Trail in 2021,"50 Dynamic Women" (2023), and "100 Most Powerful Women in Union County" (2023) by the Weeklies.
