Durham Barktoberfest

Durham Parks and Recreation and Beyond Fences presents Barktoberfest, a tail-wagging celebration for dogs and their humans, bringing the community together for a day of canine fun, festive activities, and delicious treats.

This event features dog costume contests, agility courses, local vendors, and plenty of opportunities for pups to socialize and strut their stuff. Whether you're a pet parent or a dog lover, Barktoberfest promises a howling good time for everyone.

Costume Contest
Dress up your pup for a chance to show off their favorite costume and win one of our contests.

Photo Booth
Participants will have an opportunity to purchase a special photo of their canine friend taken by Assorted Poppies Photo.

Canine Food Drive
Bring a bag of dog food to drop off at the Beyond Fences booth! Beyond Fences provides free food to pet owners in need here in Durham.
