Brevard Music Center Summer Festival - Mozart Serenade

This mixed chamber program opens with Mozart's C minor Serenade for Winds, a serious and dramatic symphony for wind octet. We then hear Ravel's virtuosic Sonatine, here presented as arranged by the renowned harpist Carlos Salzedo. Vaughan Williams's Piano Quintet, scored for the same instruments as Schubert's famous Trout, was absent from the concert stage for seventy years until his estate released it in the 1990s.
