Blacktoberfest

Proximity Brewing Company's celebration of beer, food, art, and entertainment has returned for year FIVE! You’re officially invited to join us for a month-long showcase of craft beer, culinary events and live entertainment - a community gathering like no other. Blacktoberfest is a culmination of partnerships between Black-owned + BIPOC establishments that bring Black culture to the craft beer community and its patrons in Durham, North Carolina. With the official opening of our brewery and tap room, we are slated for another spectacular year of festivities and want you to be a part of it.

Garland Court in Old East Durham will be the official home of Blacktoberfest for its second year, making it our 5th year of this event. 30 breweries and collaborators combine for this year’s craft brew offerings, along with 6 Black-owned wine and spirits brands. Our 40+ vendor's, food trucks and entertainment stage will once again round out the 2024 fall festivities
