Les Davis, a pioneering figure in Montana archaeology, served as the Curator of Archaeology at Museum of the Rockies beginning in 1991. From his early work excavating the Lindsay Mammoth to uncovering evidence of 11,000-year-old Paleo-Indian family hearths in Montana's mountains, Davis became one of the most prolific archaeologists of the twentieth century. Alongside a team of experts, he traced the migrations and lifestyles of Paleo-Indians, from the end of the last Ice Age to the introduction of the horse. His documentary series tells Davis’s compelling story while offering a fascinating overview of early archaeology in Montana.
