Montana premiere of feature Mystery Comedy film, "Out to Pasture"
Local film-maker and internationally renowned cinematographer, Kier Atherton is presenting his sophomore feature film, "Out to Pasture" for its Montana premiere at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center, Sunday, September 15th at 7:30.
Tickets will be available at the door and doors will open at 7:00 pm.
"Out to Pasture" reunites the French Actor Theo Trifard (Good Thief) with Kier Atherton (Love Like Gold) on their second film collaboration together. Theo plays the role of Le Shark, mafia hitman on-the-run in small-town Montana after his last job before retirement goes south. Theo Trifard is an actor trained for stage in Paris. He has lived and worked successfully in Paris, Reunion, Johannesburg and Marseilles. He acts for TV, stage and cinema in France, in Africa and in the USA under the direction of Neil Jordan, Josée Dayan, Kier Atherton, Nicky Rebelo, Stéphanie Duvivier, Christophe Campos, Nicolas Capus.
Rob Quist makes his film debut as the local sheriff of the fictional town, Grave River. Rob Quist is a well-known and much loved entertainer who has been inducted into the Montana Musicians Hall of Fame, has won the Govenor's Award for the Arts and was the University of Montana's 1st recipient of the "School of Fine Arts Hall of Honors". He was a founding member of The Mission Mountain Wood Band and toured with his own band, Rob Quist and Great Northern for many years. He currently tours with his daughter, Halladay Quist, with their own special brand of Americana Music.
Annemarie Jones is Montana born and raised actress and comedian, now based in New York City. Recent acting credits include Next to Normal (Alpine Theatre Project), Victorian Courting and Zombies (New York Film Academy), Age of Innocence (PCMT) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (New York Film Academy). Film/TV: "The Cause" dir. Geoffrey Goldberg.
Mikey Winn is an actor, singer, and writer based out of Northwestern Montana. He has been in over 40 local productions and has been nominated Best Actor in The Flathead Valley six years running by the Daily Inter Lake. He is also a comedy writer and has written and starred in over ten sold out original cabarets, specializing in content varying from politics to the pitfalls of love and sex. In August of 2019, he joined the board of directors at Whitefish Theatre Company, sitting as advertising chairman, and helped keep theatre alive in the community during COVID.
Mike Eldred is one of North America's most in-demand and beloved tenors, thrilling audiences in concert halls, on Broadway, and on recordings, radio and television. He appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables as "Jean Valjean", and in the original cast of the Tony-nominated The Civil War. He performed in the 25th anniversary tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, and starred as "The Tenor" in the 2010 national concert tour of Handel's Messiah Rocks. His starring role as "Tony" in the Nashville Symphony's production of West Side Story has earned international recognition.
"Out to Pasture" premiered in Paris this August at LA MAISON DES AUTEURS. Whitefish is the first theatrical screening of an upcoming roadshow before the film is widely released.
