Down here in the South, we love our sports. From Little League to college football and even Minor League baseball, Mississippi is home to passionate players and fans alike. These are our picks for 10 of the best sports complexes in the state.


Gulfport Sportsplex, Gulfport, MS

Gulfport has put a lot of resources into building and improving their 250-acre multi-use sportsplex, and it shows. Located just off of I-10, the Gulfport Sportsplex is home to a number of regional, state, and national tournaments as well as World Series. They feature a hybrid sand-based turf and crimson stone infields for completely unique fields.

Starkville Sportsplex, Starkville, MS

Starkville is home to Mississippi State University, and the city has a vibrant sports community. The Starkville Sportsplex gives athletes a place to hone their skills, with four lighted softball fields apiece for both youth and adults, and seven lighted soccer fields. There are also two indoor basketball courts as well as courts for racquetball, walking tracks, and more.

Snowden Grove Park, Southaven, MS

Declaring itself "America's Premier Youth Sports Destination,” Snowden Grove Park in Southaven is a dedicated baseball facility with 17 cutting-edge fields. Since opening in 1999, they have been home to tournaments including the 10 Year Old USSSA World Series and NABF World Classics.

MTrade Park, Oxford, MS

MTrade Park is made up of over 75 acres of soccer, baseball, and soccer fields. They are also home to six batting cages and four concession stands. All of MTrade Park's fields are well-lit for nighttime game, and they also have a number of shade structures to keep fans comfortable during daytime games—a huge bonus for those Mississippi summertime tournaments!

MGM Park, Biloxi, MS

MGM Park in Biloxi is a minor-league baseball park that is home to the Biloxi Shuckers. The Shuckers are an affiliate of the Biloxi Shuckers and were formerly the Nashville Sounds and the Huntsville Stars. The stadium seats 5,000 and is located across from the Beau Rivage Casino right on the beach, and is a major attraction in the area.

AJ Holloway Sports Complex, Biloxi, MS

The A.J. Holloway Sports Complex in Biloxi is home to a number of fields, including three softball fields, four softball fields, and five little league fields. The 68-acre sportsplex was opened in 2003 and has been home to a number of tournaments ever since.

New Albany Sportsplex, New Albany, MS

New Albany is home to the New Albany Sportsplex, a 70-acre complex which opened in 1993 and features 12 fields. Visitors can enjoy soccer, football, baseball, and softball fields, as well as a batting cage. The sportsplex boasts an estimated 150,000 visitors each year.

Madison County Sports Zone, Gluckstadt, MS

The Madison County Sports Zone started as the project of a father and coach. What was originally a small indoor baseball facility has since expanded into a state-of-the-art, multi-use complex. Their focus is on helping kids and young adults build their character as well in addition to the mechanics of baseball and softball.

Trustmark Park, Pearl, MS

Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi, is home to the Mississippi Braves, a Class AA baseball team affiliated with the Atlanta Braves. In addition to stadium seating and luxury suites, fans can enjoy picnic-style seating behind center field. The park is the third largest in the Southern League.

Laurel Sportsplex, Laurel, MS

The Laurel Susan Boone Vincent Sportsplex (or Laurel Sportsplex as it's more commonly known), is a 145-acre sports complex in the heart of Mississippi. With eight tennis courts, six soccer fields, six baseball fields, walking trails, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool, this sportsplex truly has something for everyone.
