Weidmann's has been serving Meridian since 1870, and over the years word spread about their incredible desserts. When Charles Frazier bought Weidmann's after it briefly closed in 2010, he brought back many of the original recipes, including their famous Black Bottom Pie. Although this is the most well-known dessert, you'll have a hard time choosing, with offerings like lemon almond, praline bread pudding, and other indulgent after-dinner treats!

Primos Cafe, Flowood and Ridgeland, MS

The strawberry cake from Primos Cafe has won numerous accolades, and the hearts and bellies of locals. This is far from their only offering though—they also serve up delicious sweets like cookies, cupcakes, and fudge, daily. 

Le Bakery, Biloxi, MS

The food at Le Bakery is a unique blend of Vietnamese food, freshly-baked French bread, and both French and Asian desserts. Enjoy a Banh mi po’boy and a glass of bubble tea, then follow it up with a freshly-baked dessert like the chocolate almond pastry or the yucca coconut cake. 

Cafe on Main, Columbus, MS

Cafe on Main isn't the kind of place you go so you can brag about going there—it's the kind of place you go because you're hungry. With filling portions and a friendly staff, this will be your new go-to for lunch. The sheer selection of desserts would have landed them on our list, but it's the chocolate chip skillet cookie sandwich that really guarantees them a spot. 

Woody's Tupelo Steakhouse, Tupelo, MS

Woody's Tupelo Steakhouse is the kind of place where you can enjoy fine dining cuisine while still relaxing in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Whether you decide to dine on steaks, quail, bison, or gator, just be sure you save room for dessert. There's no wrong choice when it comes to the sweet stuff, but the Snickers ravioli comes highly recommended. 

Trapani's, Bay St. Louis, MS

Trapani's is known all across the Mississippi Gulf Coast as being one of the finest seafood restaurants in the area. Located on the beachfront in Old Town Bay St. Louis, this charming spot is the perfect place for a nice seafood dinner. The dessert of choice is the Dinwiddie Deluxe, a pecan cake topped with vanilla ice cream, toasted almonds, and amaretto. Decadence at its best!

Sherman's Restaurant, Greenville, MS

Sherman's Restaurant is a Delta institution. They've been operating since 1985, although the Sherman family originally opened the building as a grocery store in 1947. Although ownership has since changed hands, the new owners are serving up the same community spirit. The desserts are worth a visit by themselves, with offerings like Southern pecan pie, Beth's homemade cheesecake, and the indulgent loaded pretzel crusted brownie.
