Hinkemeyer's Tree Farm
Our farm started when Floyd and Jan Hinkemeyer planted their first Christmas Trees on their 40-acre homestead in Rice, MN in 1971. They raised their three children on the farm, learning how to raise beautiful Christmas trees and planting more each spring until their first customers cut a tree in 1977, brought it in to have it measured, and were soon on their way home. Floyd and Jan encouraged their children to learn about the business as the years went on and the tree farm grew—adding addition tree services, two pole barns to serve as pre-cut lots, a heated gift shop, and sleigh rides. They passed the business on to their son-in-law and daughter, Randy and Cheryl Thiele, in 2013, but everyone still helps out during the Christmas season—including Floyd and Jan, their children, seven grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives. Hinkemeyer Tree Farm has always been and will always be a family business. We hope our family can become part of your family's Christmas tradition this year. We can't wait to meet you!
