Half the park is after dark! Experience the park from a different perspective. Forestville/Mystery Cave offers some of the best stargazing in the southeast Minnesota. During our annual Dark Sky Festival, visitors are invited to come explore the night sky and the unique park landscapes which can help us better understand wonders beyond our world. Programs will be presented all day and into the evening. Programs include, solar system hike, children's story and astronomy art, astrophysics and astrobiologist presentations, touch meteorites, telescope and solar viewing, join a MNDNR bat expert on a bat emergence count.
