4th of July Boat Contest and Parade

Hi everyone. I am coordinating the boat parade this year. Notice that you have to register your boat this year to be considered for contest prizes.
Judging will be from 10:00-noon at The Blue Moose on the Lake on Horseshoe. Judges from each of the 3 bars/restaurants will be present to judge your boat.
We ask that boats pull into the Blue Moose docks to receive a number which should be displayed on your boat. Once the judges have evaluated your entry, please leave the Blue Moose docks and wait in Horseshoe Lake while other boats enter the dock to be judged. You must have a number on your boat (register and pay $5) to be a part of the contest. If you just want to participate in the parade, just hang out in the lake.
Registered boats will receive an envelope with bar specials and freebies from each of the 3 sponsors of the boat contest – Blue Moose on the Lake, Bann’s and Craft House. Please patronize our sponsors. You will not be judged at Bann’s or the Craft House, but we encourage boat parade participants to stop in that day.
The parade will start at noon. It will travel through the channel that connects Horseshoe to Minnewawa, past the sand point and toward the narrows that leads to Bann’s and the Craft House. The official parade will disperse at that time. Trophies will be handed out at Bann’s at 2:00pm. Drive, boat, walk or swim to Craft House and Bann’s. You must be present to win.
