About Vince Moreno:

Vince Moreno was born and raised in a small ranching and farming community, located in Southeast Arizona. Willcox is also known as the hometown of one of the last silver screen cowboys, Rex Allen. “There was always music playing in our home. Ma would have a small radio in the kitchen playing Traditional Country throughout the day, when that wasn’t on, she would play a record from her vast collection, ranging from Neil Diamond, Herb Alpert, Elvis to Hank Williams. Then on Sundays after church, Daddy would play his Mariachi and Norteno records for hours, so I grew up with a love for every genre of music there was. I had a drum set next the old player piano in our living room, a guitar and bass guitar, and I would play along for hours”.

At the age of 10, Vince started playing guitar in the church mariachi choir that his mother sang in. Not long after, the band leader asked if Vince could join their Tejano band. This propelled him into learning different instruments and playing with various local Country And Rock bands. For most of his early years, his parents, Louis and Frances, would drive Vince to rehearsals and gigs every weekend because he was a minor and had to have a parent at the bars. “My parents had it good, they got to go dancing almost every weekend for many years!”, Vince reminisces with a smile. Once he was old enough to drive and be at the venues on his own, he started singing and fronting band he was in at the urging of local well know musician, Frank Bracamonte. “Frank played a big part in building my confidence as a singer, and multi instrumentalist. He encouraged me every day to be better.”

Vince moved to Tucson when he turned 18, and started working at various Country nightclubs as the house band, performing 4-5 nights a week. “Over the next 10 years, I really grew as a musician and singer, building my chops and strengthening my voice. Being surrounded by such gifted people onstage, that many nights, every week, you can’t help but improve”, Vince recalls of his long time stints in the smoky bars. During this time, Vince opened shows for many national acts, one being Neal McCoy, which led to landing his first artist job in July 2005, as a sideman, playing keyboards and harmonica for Neal. It was during those next 4 years that Vince learned how to be an entertainer, from watching Neal work the crowd every show.

In 2009, Vince moved his family to Austin, Tx to pursue more endeavors in hopes to reach a wider audience. He performed mostly in the Austin hotspots, San Antonio, Bandera and Houston areas, accumulating more fans. 2011 brought on another move, to Nashville,Tn, after taking the keyboardist position with Daryle Singletary. Since then, Vince has toured the world with artists such as - Kevin Sharp, Trent Willmon, Aaron Tippin, Tracy Lawrence, Craig Morgan, and Darryl Worley. Vince has performed overseas for our nation’s military in Japan, Kuwait, and Iraq, and all over the United States and Canada with the artists mentioned, all the while still performing as an artist himself. Vince has been able to perform on the Grand Ole Opry numerous times with these artists as a sideman. “I’ve been lucky to be able to play different instruments with separate artists, such as Guitar, Piano and Bass on the holy grail of stages. My goal is to perform there as an artist myself one day”. Vince Moreno is a well known name in the downtown Nashville scene, known as Lower Broadway. He performs regularly there, and tours all over the world.

If you have seen a Vince Moreno show, you know that you will hear your favorite Traditional Country music along with his original music, backed by some of the best musicians in the world. His show is also filled with quick witted humor, sometimes being called the ‘Don Rickles of Country Music”and involving the people in attendance is a gift he has used to his benefit.

Vince is always working to improve his singing, musicianship, and songwriting. “To walk out on a stage, and just be ME, and have people enjoy themselves, is the ultimate feeling of success, for me”. Vince resides in Mt Juliet, Tn with his beautiful wife and their 2 daughters. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending as much time with his family as he can.
