Demi Adamczyk:
We are dedicated to giving back to our community and are forging a long-term partnership with First Step, a non-profit organization offering free services and emergency shelter to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Throughout the last 45+ years, First Step has served more than 250,000 survivors through trauma-informed programming and operating an emergency shelter.
Wayne County currently has 100 emergency shelter beds available for survivors, but the demand for safety far exceeds this capacity, often reaching 2-4 times the available space at any given time.
First Step is actively raising funds to construct a new shelter in Detroit, which will provide accommodation for 84 adults and children each night, significantly expanding life-saving services to 400-500 individuals annually in our city.
HOT BONES is committed to supporting First Step's fundraising efforts with a monthly event series in collaboration with XHIBITION.
100% of the proceeds will directly contribute to the new shelter's establishment and operation.

Traditional Asanas & Ancient Melodies:
Hot Bones x Xhibition present a 45-minute hot yoga class inspired by the classic 26 asanas followed by a 15-minute sound meditation with melodies of the ancient Chinese Shruti instrument. Traditional hot yoga takes place in a room heated between 100-104F. Post-Savasana we’ll meet on the back patio for a social hour before heading to Gilly’s for a Hot Bones x Xhibition after party from 8 -10pm. A representative from First Step will be on-site to answer questions about the initiative.
The payment for this class is donation based, we ask that you pay what you can, knowing that 100% of the proceeds are directly donated to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
