The Gordon Lightfoot Tribute

Following a distinguished 26-year career in radio and television play-by-play, Mike Fournes now pays tribute to the legendary Gordon Lightfoot. Mike portrays "Gord" in first person without using the pronouns "I" or "me" to tell the stories behind the songs and how they were written. His diligent research and personal interactions with Lightfoot have allowed him to accurately capture Lightfoot's mannerisms, speech patterns, clothing, and iconic guitars on stage.

Industry professionals have praised Mike's performances. Gordon Lightfoot remarked, "Very impressive, Michael...you look great. I enjoyed your show!" Mike Heffernan, Gordon Lightfoot's keyboardist, commended Mike's orchestration and performance and was impressed by the attention to detail paid by all the performers. The late Terry Clements, Gordon Lightfoot's lead guitarist for over 40 years, complimented Mike's guitar sounds and observed that the stage setup and player positioning closely resembled Lightfoot's live performances.
