Silver Lake State Park is located in Oceana County and encompasses 3,000 acres along the Lake Michigan shoreline. It is home to a campround, a swimming beach, an off-road vehicle scramble area and much more.
Activities:
Fishing: Silver Lake is an excellent lake for boaters and anglers. Panfish, walleye, northern pike, crappie and bass are the common speciesfound in the lake. Ice fishing is also popular for walleye, northern pike and crappie.
Hiking: Limited parking is available to explore the open sand dunes by foot. Parking is available at the Ruckel’s Bridge day-use area (limited) or at the Pedestrian Dune Access parking lot.
Hunting: Hunting in the 1,000 acres of mature hardwoods and in an additional 1,000 acres of dunes is allowed during regular seasons. Common game includes squirrel, grouse, rabbit and whitetailed deer.
Paddlesports: There are paddling opportunities in the open lake and for a short distance along the outlet channel on the upperside of a small dam.
Swimming: A designated swim area is located in the day-use area at the campground. Additional beach access is available at non-designated swim areas located at the lighthouse and along the Silver Lake and Lake Michigan shorelines of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes.

Facilities:
Beach: A designated swim area is located in the day-use area at the campground. Additional beach access is available in non-designated swim areas located at the lighthouse and along the Silver Lake and Lake Michigan shorelines of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes.
Picnic Area: Fire pits/grills available at several locations throughout the park.
Playground: There is a new playground located in the renovated day-use area at the campground.
