River Days Festival
Celebrate summer! The Midland Area Community Foundation is proud to bring the Midland Area River Days Festival to Downtown Midland this August.
Schedule:
6:30 am - 8:00 am: Competitive hot air Balloon Flight (Weather pending)
Balloons launch from various parts of the City and fly to Chippewassee Park, attempting to hit targets. Multiple targets will be in play for pilots to test their skills.
4:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Cheeseburger Fundraiser Dinner (sponsored by Midland Rotary clubs)
Near the Bob Johns River Days Stage - cheeseburgers, $5 each, provided by Lalonde’s Market
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Henna by Jenna

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Public Arts Tent (Facilitated by Public Arts Midland)
Near the Bob Johns River Days Stage - Enjoy face painting, rock painting, and paint a bench to be part of a public art installation!
5:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Run the River By Greater Midland Community Center
Near the Bob Johns River Days Stage - Run and walk participants receive a pint glass and complimentary drink ticket for the Craft Beer and Wine Tent. Event registration is $36. Register here
5:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Craft Beer and Wine Tent (sponsored by midland rotary clubs)
Near the Bob Johns River Days Stage - craft beer and wine provided by Molasses
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Kayak Poker Run by Nor’ East Outdoors
Kayak Launch, Near The Tridge - Bring your own or rent a kayak and paddle around by the Tridge collecting poker cards! The best three hands will win prizes. Free event with minimal cost to rent a kayak
7:00 pm: River Days hot air Balloon Launch Main Event (Weather pending)
Chippewassee Park - Mass balloon launch from Chippewassee Park, showering the sky with beautiful colors and designs.
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Leave Those Kids Alone (Live Music)
Bob Johns River Days Stage
9:00 pm - 9:30 pm: The amazing hot air Balloon Glow (Weather Pending)
Chippewassee Park - Experience the balloons as they make Chippewassee Park “glow” with their burners. The balloons will not take flight during this event.
9:00 pm - 11:00 pm: stone street revival (Live Music provided by the City of Midland’s Downtown development authority)
