This June 26, 2024, at 6pm, Diamond Approach Michigan is offering a free class on Compassion. A practical, rich course of study, the Diamond Approach provides convenient tools and easy-to-apply insights needed to balance the frenetic pace of our day-to-day lives with our desire for inner peace and well-being.

Lou Weir, leader of Diamond Approach Michigan and one of only a handful of full-time, ordained Diamond Approach Teachers in the world understands, “It can be hard to maintain compassion in a world with rife with anger and injustice. When the grocery store bills are so high and social media fans the flames of political discord. The Dalai Lama said “Love and Compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.”

“But how do we foster this necessary compassion? Is there a means to build a reserve of it so we don’t run out?” Weir explains, “This particular course helps provide a foundation on which to create a consistent, reliable source of compassion.”

Broken up into six themed pillars explored over the course of a year, each section features two online teachings and an all-day, in-person retreat. Participants can join the course of study at any point of the six pillars due to the philosophy’s flexible module-based structure. Given the current political climate, there is no better time to be open to compassion.
