North Higgins Lake State Park
North Higgins Lake is nestled on Higgins Lake located on what was once the world's largest seedling nursery. The park provides a variety of tree, plant, bird and animal species that make the park attractive for outdoor activities. Open all year for camping.
Activities:
Boat Rental: Stand-up paddleboards and kayaks are available for rent. The stand-up paddleboards can be rented through the park's concessionaire and kayaks can be rented from the park's contact station located at the park entrance. Kayak rates are $10 per hour or $20 per two hours.
Cross Country Ski: There are 11 miles of trails open to hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. The trails are groomed.

Hiking: There are 11 miles of trails open to hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. The 1.5 mile Upland Nature Trail includes is a looped fitness trail featuring a series of fitness stations
Mountain Biking: There are 11 miles of trails open to hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. The trails are groomed.

Winter Camping: In the winter months, there are two mini cabins (with electric heat) and 5 campsites available for those coming to ice fish, snowmobie, cross country sk or just enjoy a Michigan winter. A vault toilet is available.

Facilities
Beach: The beach is lcoated on Higgins Lake, which is Michigan’s 11th largest inland lake. The swimming area iis marked by swim markers creating a safe location to swim.The crystal blue water will make it look and feel like your swimming in the tropics.
Picnic Area: The picnic area has grills available to visitors. No firepits are available
