Memorial Day Flag Raising Ceremony

MEMORIAL DAY FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

We welcome the general public to help us raise the NEW State Flags at the Circle of Flags located next to the Veterans Memorial Park Of Northeast Michigan Visitors Center at N 4000 Skeel Avenue.

We can use volunteers to help raise the flags. Official Flag Raising will begin promptly at 1pm. Plan on arriving no later than 12:45pm or earlier to secure a Flag Pole location. This is a Family Friendly event.

Patriotic songs by Danny Althouse and Jessica Mochty, both are Iosco Idol Winners. Riders and horses bringing in the American Flag, Michigan State Flag and the POW/MIA Flag. Taps by Bugler Claudia Hunt.

The Visitors Center will be open to the public along with the Mini Military Memorabilia Displays. The Military Vehicle Static Displays will be available to view along with a Military Deuce and Half and the New Vietnam Parade Float which will also be on display.
