Hartwick Pines State Park
Hartwick Pines is rich in scenic beauty and different habitats. The principal features of this park are the 49-acre forest of old growth pines and logging museum. There is ample subject matter for the sports person, photographer, or naturalist throughout the year
Activities:
Boat Rental: Kayaks are available for rent on Bright and Glory Lakes from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Renters register at the contact station and receive a life vest, paddle and key to kayak lock. Currently offering four single-person kayaks and two tandem kayaks.
Cross Country Ski
Fishing: Four small lakes can be found within the park boundaries. Lakes Bright and Glory have accessible fishing piers with a trail from the campground to access them.
Hiking
Hunting: Outside of the old growth forest and the developed park areas, hunting is available. Signs mark the areas closed to hunting.
Mountain Biking: The Weary Legs, Deer Run and Aspen Trails are shared with hikers and cross-country skiers.
