About Us
We are Tim and Betsy, the owners of Green Bird Organic Cellars. In 2015 we changed our careers and lifestyles to become organic, regenerative farmers. Arriving from New Orleans in 2018, we continued our agricultural practices in a larger format in Northport at Green Bird, making fresh, honest wines and ciders from our own grapes and apples. We are also raising two young boys, Heron and August, sheep, too many chickens, and veggies. We have farm interns, wine club members, and tasting room employees to help us out, not to mention Betsy's inimitable father, Jim. We make small-batch, estate-grown wines and ciders and are honored to bring an authentic farm-to-glass experience to Northport, a tiny, off-the-beaten-path town with a crunchy personality and lots of heart - a perfect fit for us.
