Call For Art: Emerging Artist's Exhibition

Michigan visual artists aged 16-54 who are embarking on their creative journey are encouraged to enter this juried exhibition.

The exhibition opens on Friday, October 18th at 6:30 pm with a discussion, and question and answer period with working artist Katie Truemner Bruessow, who designs for both the mass market furniture industry and the visual art industry. Katie will share the journey that led her to turn her passion into a thriving creative profession. Award announcements and opening reception to follow.

EXHIBITION OPENING RECEPTION:
Friday, October 18 / 6:30 – 8:30 pm / Free, everyone is welcome.

Admission to all of our exhibits is free and we are grateful for your donations that allow us to continue this policy. Call for weekend and evening hours.

DEADLINES
● Notify CREATIVE 360 of your intent to enter your work for adjudication at frontdesk@becreative360.org
● Artwork must be received at Creative 360, Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm between Oct. 3rd and Oct. 8th. Work will be evaluated for admission to the show by jurist Prof. Randal Crawford. Artists at a distance may submit images and applications via the email above.
● You will be notified of acceptance into the show by Oct. 14th.
● Artwork not accepted into the show must be picked up by Oct. 18th
● The exhibition opens on Friday, Oct 18th and ends Sunday, Nov. 24th with pick up Mon. & Tues. Nov. 25th and 26th between 9am and 4pm.

RULES OF THE COMPETITION
● Entries must be the work of an artist between the ages of 16-54.
● Art must be original work by the artist (no kits, commercial patterns, etc).
● 2D work and photography must be ready to hang (wire preferred).
● Works must have been created within the 24 months prior to the show and not previously exhibited in an art gallery (coffee houses and other small space displays are acceptable).
● Each entry piece dropped off (limited to three per artist) must be clearly labeled with the title and artist’s name on the back of the artwork.

$250 Best In Show / $100 Best 2D / $100 Best 3D / $100 Best Photography

FEES & FINANCES
● Entry fee is $20 per work, limited to three pieces.
● If you choose to sell your work, Creative 360 will retain 40% of the sale price.
● Employees and board members of Creative 360 are not eligible to win monetary prizes.
