Want to express yourself, tell a story, or portray a message through art? Join us for an introduction to Zine making! Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about zines, peruse through a large collection for inspiration, and construct their very own Zine!
Free admission, free activity. Drop in when you can between 1:00 and 4:00 pm
About the instructor:
Leah Short (she/they) is an alumnus of Loyola University Chicago where she received her Master of Social Work. She also is an alumnus of Michigan State University where she received a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies. Leah is currently a Medical Social Worker in Grand Rapids, MI where they are able to implement justice oriented and survivor-centered practices in patient care. Leah has created and published numerous Zines, many of which have served as a fundraiser for communities she works with.
