The Samoset Resort - Golf Course

Celebrating over one hundred years of premier Maine golf, the Samoset Golf Course continues to inspire players of all skill levels with its breathtaking ocean vistas and one of the most challenging finishing holes in New England. Meandering along Rockport’s scenic coastline and through the woods, the Samoset’s 18-hole championship golf course boasts seven oceanside holes and 14 holes with spectacular views of the Atlantic.

The Samoset's signature hole, the par-five 4th, plays alongside Penobscot Bay, and has undergone extensive enhancements to the green and surrounding area. The hole boasts an impressive stone seawall that encompasses the contoured green with added bunkers and elevation. The redesigned 185-yard par-three 5th hole (formerly a par-four), features a demanding uphill slope and a tee box located directly above the seawall on Penobscot Bay, playing to a heavily bunkered bank and front sloping green. And with the completion of our 520 yard, par-five 18th hole, it’s easy to see why the Samoset is ranked as among the best golf destinations in New England, and was recently named one of the “Top 10 Northern U.S. Golf Resorts” by Condé Nast Traveler's Reader’s Poll.
