9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Dance for Fun! at Hammond Hall

Described by one of her students as “an oasis of joy”, Kristin’s class is dance for everyone who loves to move to music! She aims to help her students greet challenge without self-criticism; to rid themselves of annoyance, to laugh, and to find the joy in the day!

9:00 AM  12:00 PM: Color Theory at Schoolhouse

Color theory is the art of combining colors based on the color wheel which contains the primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Color theory helps to determine which colors look good together and goes beyond just guessing color combinations. How colors relate to each other are critical skills needed by artists, craftspeople, designers, etc.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Acrylic Pour Painting at Schoolhouse Tent

In this class, the paint is poured onto the canvas and spread by moving the canvas around. The fluid paint will blend the colors and create unique patterns and textures. Abstraction is the key here. Everyone can express their inner creativity as we watch beautiful designs take shape on the canvas.

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Flor Bromley: Fiesta Global at Hammond Hall

Fiesta Global is an invitation to dance around the world, bringing together rhythms from Latin America, encapsulating a message of global citizenship.  It is a multicultural musical celebration! Kids and families will join in the fun as they learn about different musical genres through dance, storytelling and songs, traveling with Flor to the countries where the rhythms were born. This is not your typical children’s concert, it’s a whole family fiesta!
