9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Interpretive Literal Color: Getting a Glow at whoPaints Studio

By asking, as one mixes up a color, is it warmer or cooler, lighter or darker a painter can make oils glow avoiding the chalkiness impasto often creates! Learning to see these subtle shifts in hue can bring so much life to a painting!

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Drawing for Beginners at Schoolhouse

Anyone can learn to draw. Learn to draw what you see. This class will give you a jump start and give you confidence to draw for pleasure or for a base for your painting.

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Sing Your Heart Out! at Hammond Hall

Sing Your Heart Out is a course designed for individuals who feel like they cannot sing. In just a few hours, participants will learn to find their voice, improve posture and breathing, and explore simple harmonies. No experience necessary. Kat Logan, a professional vocalist and musician with years of experience performing in New England, is excited to help you find your voice.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Meetinghouse Theatre Lab presents: “Getting to Know You” by Merle Bragdon - A Staged Reading at Hammond Hall

A Speed Dating Event in a retirement community makes for lots of laughs and maybe even some romance as these seniors get to know more about one another.
Merle Bragdon has been involved with community theater since 2011 as an actor and director. Getting to Know You, Speed Dating in a Retirement Community is Merle’s first full-length play. He and wife Joan live in Lamoine.
