July 23- 24 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Needle Felted Figures on Wire Armature at Schoolhouse

In this class we will learn the basics of creating an aluminum wire armature, which will serve as the framework for a needle felted dog, cat, or other four-legged creature. I will teach my method for wrapping wool onto the armature for basic shaping. We will finish our creations by applying a colored topcoat and detailing the face, tail, and feet. Some experience needed.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Capturing Shadows: Paper & Fabric Cyanotype Prints at Schoolhouse Tent

This workshop offers an introduction to the cyanotype printing process through photographic print methods. Participants will experiment with a combination of natural, foraged materials and manufactured objects to create a series of unique prints. Join us to learn the basics of capturing shadows through sun printing on both fabric and paper!

1:00pm - 3:00pm: Songwriting at Hammond Hall

This songwriting class will meet you where you are - as a beginner, dabbler, or pro, we’ll workshop through tips, exercises, and self-editing tools to help you bring your lyrics and music to life.
