Sandy River Farms

Sandy River Farms was created in 1961 when L. Herbert (Bussie) and Brenda York took over management of the farm from his parents, Linwood and Lila York who had operated the "King of the Valley" farm since 1952. In the almost 50 years since Bussie and Brenda have operated the farm, a number of land and building acquisitions as well as a diversified approach to farm management have created the current 600 acre organic dairy and crop organization.

From their registered Milking Shorthorn cattle to the newest venture, a 10 acre corn maze, the Yorks continue to be entrepreneurs in their farm management. The main farm is located just 2 miles outside of Farmington, Maine on route 2 at 560 Farmington Falls road where you will find over 125 head of Milking Shorthorn and Holstein cattle.
