In Maine, Wild Blueberries Are Harvested From Late July To Early September, And Believe It Or Not, They're Mainly Picked By Hand Using A Special Rake That Was Invented About 112 Years Ago By A Local Legend Named Abijah Tabbutt. And Here's Something Fascinating: Native Americans Called Blueberries 'Star Berries' Because Their Blossoms Form A Star Shape With Five Points. The Indigenous Wabanaki People Of Maine Have Been Enjoying These Berries For Centuries Before Europeans Even Arrived!
