Join Shaker Village for our end-of-season Fall Harvest Festival! This family-friendly FREE event is now a tradition for many folks– come make it yours, too!

-Freshly-picked apples from the historic Shaker orchards will be offered for sale along with free cider-pressing (of apples purchased here.)
-Homemade Shaker doughnuts and other baked goodies.
-Chipman’s Farm, neighbors to the Shakers since the 1790s, will have a farm bounty available for sale, including pumpkins!
-Seasonal mums, other late-season “bloomers” and houseplants will be available from Donna’s Greenhouse.
-Live Music - Bluegrass tunes by Albert Price and the Pseudonyms
-Free, traditional craft demonstrations include fiber art, spinning, knives by Zay’s Knives, rug hooking and supplies by Two Cats and Dog Hooking, Native American artists and crafters including Lightning Hawk Creations, Wendy Hamilton, and Passamaquoddy Maple. Bee Keeping demonstration with observation hive.
-Book signing by Maine author Don Perkins, Barns of Maine.
-Tintype portraits by Cole Caswell, Maine Arts Commission Fellow.
-Paul and Sally Wells will be playing music from 19th century Maine, including fiddle tunes and Shaker melodies.
-Book sale and perennials by Mary Doyle.
-Free wagon rides will be offered throughout the day with narrated tours of Shaker Village.
-Free tours and smelling/tasting in the Shakers’ Herb Gardens.
-Free tours of the Shakers’ barn by Brother Arnold.
-Free face painting for all ages!
-Free lawn games.
-Free museum exhibits.
-BBQ lunch plates by Maplewood BBQ, cotton candy, and popcorn available for sale, while supplies last.


Bring the family! The Shaker Store and Museum Gift Shops are open and our special exhibit is free for the day!
