Reynolds Tavern and 1747 Pub

About the 1747 Pub
The 1747 Pub is in the original kitchen and 'Hat Shop' of William Reynolds.  It has stone and brick walls, walk-in fireplace, low ceilings, brick floors, and the original stairwell from the 1737 construction. In the 1950s, the cellar was the Childrens' Library for the Anne Arundel Public Library System. A cozy spot for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or a drink with friends where guests get a glimpse into history.

History of the Exterior
Reynolds Tavern is a well-proportioned, two-and-a-half story, five-bay wide, gambrel-roofed brick structure with a center entrance. The original cellar window openings were shortened almost a foot when Church Circle was graded and paved with brick in 1832.
