Mission Statement

As part of the body of Christ, Ocean City Baptist Church will be obedient to Christ and recognize His command to '. . . go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you . . .' (Matthew 28:19 & 20a, NASB).

In obedience to His Word and to be an effective part of His body, we strive for the following:

Objectives

• To be a dynamic spiritual organism empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Jesus Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and throughout the world.
• To be a worshiping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His leadership.
• To experience an increasingly meaningful fellowship with God and fellow believers.
• To help people experience a growing knowledge of God and man.
• To be a church which ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and the world in Jesus' name.
• To be a church whose purpose is to be Christ-like in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ.
