8-10am - Celebration of Distinguished Service on Greenbelt City Council
New Deal Cafe. As part of the Greenbelt Labor Day Festival’s 70th celebration, help honor the history of distinguished service by past members of Greenbelt City Council, a look all the way back to 1937. At this breakfast reception, we will honor their long-serving and groundbreaking service. Sponsored by Greenbelt City Council

9am - 5pm - Greenbelt Museum Exhibition
Community Center, Room 110. “The Knowing Hands That Carve This Stone: The New Deal Art of Lenore Thomas Straus.”

9-11am - Bricks And Blocks Walking Tour
10-B Crescent Rd. This tour will highlight historic Greenbelt’s domestic architecture, the “brick and block” homes that make up the majority of the original planned community. Your guide will show you how to “read” the brick and block homes and the tour will feature spots of historic interest that have not been featured on previous walking tours. The “Bricks and Blocks” Tour leaves from the Greenbelt Museum and takes approximately 2 hours, including the Greenbelt Museum’s orientation film. Space is limited and you must pre-register. 9:30am - 10:30am - Children And Teen Pet Show
Community Center Lawn. All kinds, types, sizes of pets. Children and teens bring your pet to register at 9:30am. Judging and awards at 10am. Greenbelt’s greatest pets get some well-deserved attention. Rain or Shine!

10am-4pm - Information Day & Community Exhibits
Roosevelt Center. Visit the information and display tables set up by local groups and learn about your community!

10am - Diaper Derby for Crawlers and Toddlers (3 Years and Older)

10:45am - Balloon Waddle Race (All Ages)

11:30am - Pie Eating Contest (All Ages)

Noon - 3pm - Sing-Along Super Heroes, Princesses & Taylor
Take a break from riding the rides to stop by the stage to meet tribute characters Captain America and Superman, noon-1pm.
Stay to meet and sing along with Anna and Elsa from 1-2pm. Singing “Do you want to build a snowman” might cool you off!
Next is the Taylor Tribute!! Wear your finest Taylor costume or come as you are, sing along with our tribute Taylor!! “It’s a love story” from 2-3pm. There will be a limited number of friendship bracelets handed out during this time, so don’t miss out! Friendship bracelets provided by https://www.etsy.com/shop/madebybooboo.

3:30pm - 5pm - The Relics
Stage. The Relics play an exciting upbeat rock and soul mix that everyone loves. Dance and sing along to your favorite hits featuring a driving rhythm section, outstanding lead vocals with deep rich harmonies, and just the right amount of exciting instrumentals. Dust off your boogie shoes, warm up your vocal cords, and get ready to party with the Relics. Warning: The Relics create high levels of excitement in adults of all ages!

5:30pm - 7:30pm - Granny and the Boys
Stage. Led by the exquisite 92-year-old Alice “Granny” Donahue, this band has packed in delirious crowds, moved everyone’s feet, and always guaranteed a great time. Alice is a Greenbelt local and resides in GHI..

8-11pm - The Nowhere Men
Stage. Like to dance? Love that Motown sound, the great horn bands of the ’60s and ’70s and hits from artists like Earth, Wind & Fire; The Four Tops; Chicago; Stevie Wonder; The Temptations; Blood Sweat and Tears; Tower of Power and much more: Then you will love The Nowhere Men.
