Exhibition: Karen Werth’s Zen and Chaos

Zen and Chaos: Explore the world of fused glass with Karen Werth’s Zen and Chaos exhibit at Brentwood Arts Exchange from June 3 to August 18, 2024, featuring a stunning array of color, light, shadow, and patterns. Karen Werth is an artist and owner of Werthwhile Studio in Washington, DC, who creates fused glass pieces inspired by color, patterns, and shapes found in nature. Her creative process involves manual cutting of glass sheets, rods, and stringer prior to multiple sessions in the kiln, utilizing different firing techniques and schedules to create a final piece that relies on both machinery and hand finishing. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture and a Master of Fine Arts degree in jewelry design and metalsmithing, she has extensive experience in exhibit design, production, and management of small and large scale exhibitions for cultural institutions around the country. Her work can be found in public and private collections throughout the US and Europe.
