Weymouth Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony

The Weymouth Veterans Council is excited to invite you to take part in our reimagined 2024 Veterans Day celebration! This year, we aim to bring together our long-time supporters and welcome new participants to create a truly unforgettable event.

We encourage you to show your support in creative ways, such as:

Constructing a float that represents your group or organization
Decorating a vehicle to display your patriot spirit
Marching as a group to honor our veterans
Adding music to the parade, fostering a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere

To make this year’s celebration even more exciting, we will be awarding recognition and bragging rights to those groups with the most dazzling displays of patriotism and support for our country and her proud servicemembers.

If you or your group is unable to join us in person, you can still support the event through sponsorship. This could include sponsoring a specific group or helping another group bring their creative ideas to life.

Parade Timeline:

Parade Staging at Pingree School/Lovell Field: 7:30 - 8:30 am
Set-up must be complete set-up by 8:30 am for judging
Contest Judging: 8:30 - 9:30 am
Korean Memorial at Jackson Square: 9:30 - 10:00 am
Parade Assembly: 10:00 - 10:15 am
Parade Start: 10:15 am
Ceremony: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
