Veterans Day Town Ceremony

Traditional local Veterans Day observances are scheduled for noon on Monday, Nov. 11 at Veterans Memorial Park.

The ceremony, hosted by the Patriotic Holiday Committee, consists of the Bedford Minutemen, Bedford’s Public Safety Honor Guard, the Boy Scouts, the Bedford High School Marching Band, Taps players, Jr. ROTC members, a rifle squad, and speakers representing government and veterans’ organization.

An annual highlight of the ceremonies is individual tributes to specific veterans – living or deceased — by attendees, who announce names and relationships and insert miniature flags into a Memorial Wreath of Honor.

In case of inclement weather, ceremonies will take place in the Buckley Auditorium at Bedford High School.
