TWO NIGHTS! Legendary country and Americana artist Rosanne Cash and her songwriting, producing, performing partner and husband, gutarist John Leventhal are headed to Truro to perform two special nights under the tent on Monday, August 12 and Tuesday, August 13.
Rosanne Cash is a composer and singer-songwriter who has earned 4 Grammy Awards and 14 Grammy nominations, among numerous other accolades for songwriting and sound recordings. She is also an author, whose 2010 memoir Composed garnered widespread praise from critics and landed on The New York Times bestseller list. In addition, she is a music community catalyst who often brings together giants of American roots music for various events and is a valued voice in documenting modern music history. In 2021, Cash was the first female composer to receive the MacDowell Medal, awarded since 1960 to an artist who has made an outstanding contribution to American culture.
Late last year, Rosanne and John (6 time Grammy Award winner) launched a new record label to reexamine and re-release her early period recordings originally on Columbia/Sony Music. A 30th Anniversary remastered edition of the Cash/Leventhal produced album The Wheel was the inaugural release followed by John Leventhal's very first solo album in late January– and songs from both these releases will be included among the selections at Rosanne and John's concerts this summer.
