Join certified Lee Holden qigong teacher Margie Mitchell for this special Spring transformation experience.
In this workshop, we will focus on the Five Elements and the Swimming Dragon style of qigong. The routine uses gentle stretches, energetic activations, and easy-to-follow flowing movements. The Dragon is associated with transformation, strength, and flexibility. Just like your garden, what do you want to cultivate in your life? What are you inspired to do and what are you going to create?
This class is appropriate for anyone who desires to bring a bit of tranquility and stress reduction into their lives. There is no getting up and down off the floor or extended holding of postures, and no yoga mat is required. We respect our body and remain in a comfort zone of movement throughout. Most movements can be performed seated. The movements flow from one to the other, generating a gentle flow of “Qi” in our bodies. This “Qi”, or life force/energy, creates an environment of healing, both mentally and physically, prompting a calmness, internal peace and cultivating both inner and external strength.
Class will be held outdoors in the beautiful gardens of Highfield Hall. If the weather does not cooperate, class is held on the porch or inside. 9:00 a.m. arrival is suggested. Find out more about qigong on Margie’s website at www.capechigong.com.
