Special Holiday Film – Followed by a Zoom Q&A with director and star David Wall!
Filmed throughout the town of Dennis and Cape Cod, this film is a time capsule of the Old Cape Cod that we strive to honor and maintain.
Shortly before Christmas, Father Jonathan Keene (David Wall) arrives to shut down the church of a fishing village’s dwindling parish. Though he is usually dispassionate and efficient when working on such tasks, events take a different turn when he becomes entangled in the lives of the town’s eccentric residents.
David Wall began his career in Los Angeles as an actor, compiling a list of credits in film, TV and commercials, but when his first short story was published in the Washington Post, he focused his full attention on writing and creating screenplays.
He wrote, directed and produced his first feature film Joe & Joe, on a shoestring budget of $35,000. It was selected for the Sundance Film Festival and was later purchased by the Sundance Channel. It went on to win awards for Cinematography at the Ft. Lauderdale Intl. Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Southern Stories Film Festival in Birmingham. It was released theatrically through Carmike Cinemas and later was picked up by PBS for WGBH in Boston. Shoreline Entertainment currently distributes the film and it can be seen on Amazon Prime.
On his second feature, Noëlle, David once again Wrote, Directed and Produced but this time also played the lead role of Father Jonathan Keene. The film was selected for the Ft. Lauderdale Intl. Film Festival where it won the Jury Award for Best Director. It also won Best Picture and Best Director at the Mirable Dictu Film Festival in Rome. It played in numerous art houses along the east coast before being released nationwide in over 200 theatres through Gener8xion Entertainment and Paramount Pictures. Shoreline Entertainment currently distributes Noëlle and it can be seen on Amazon Prime.
David’s third film Gold Dust which was shot entirely in the Mojave Desert of California, premiered at the Los Angeles International Film Festival and is available for viewing on Amazon Prime. It is currently distributed by Shoreline Entertainment.
